Beverly

Surrounded by her family and angels there, unseen

A treasure trove of memories, and all the joys between

Beverly, a mother, a wife and faithful friend

A follower of Jesus-Her beginning and her end.

The lives of all she loved and touched, we’ll never truly know.

A heart for all the hopeless. When called, she chose to go

From Honduras to Africa for the little and the least

A call to give and sacrifice, her compassion never ceased.

A teacher, sister, mother, but most of all, a joy.

A heart as big as Georgia, for every girl and boy.

And her greatest treasures that shined above them all

were Bucky and her family and a faithful Savior’s call.

She seemed to leave so suddenly- the shock, regrets and pain…

But cloistered in the tragedy, a flood of joys remain.

The memories–cherished moments, those times of sudden tears

A true romance in marriage of over forty years

Our Christmases are different. Her absence leaves a void.

But we’ll celebrate our Beverly, and her grace we all enjoyed.

Her laughter, beauty, wisdom- will bless the path we tread.

The fellowship of suffering. The wine and broken bread.

For beyond our deepest sorrows, despair of all we’ll miss,

There’s joy along the journey and the promised hope of bliss.
